It’s not a morally correct thing to do or in any way rational, but it would appear that on some level she truly was not happy.
Entitled people and particularly entitled folks in romantic relationships tend to have personal “contexts” and rules of behavior. In her mind, cheating may have been perfectly acceptable, as she had decided she wasn’t happy enough. So in her mind, her actions were not entirely unacceptable, which then would mean, again, in her mind, the boyfriend kicking her out was just unjust and mean.
