Jason Hardestyis a UPS driver who’s basically a celebrity among dogs. Thanks to his knack for snapping adorable selfies with the pets he meets on his route, he’s turned everyday deliveries into a feel-good Instagram project. Dogs in his area know the sound of his truck and practically sprint to the door to see him—because why wouldn’t they?According to Jason, he’s better friends with the dogs than their owners, and honestly, we believe it. His account is proof that sometimes your best coworkers have four legs and wagging tails.More info:InstagramThis post may includeaffiliate links.Asked how this project began, Jason said toBored Panda, “It actually happened accidentally. You could say I came up with the idea when I randomly decided to pick up a dog to take a photo for fun, and then I just posted it on my Instagram. I didn’t expect to gain any attention from it, but I believe the picture got something like 100 likes, and back then, I thought that was a lot!“RELATED:He’s formed special bonds with the dogs he encounters, explaining, “I formed a lot of relationships with dogs. Dogs hear the truck and they run to the door, and they know it’s me at some of the houses. I’m actually more friendly with the dogs than customers.“As for how his online presence might expand, Jason noted to us, “At this time, the job I have is very time-consuming, but definitely, the end goal is to work with rescues and get as many dogs adopted as possible.“When asked which photo stands out as his favorite, Jason admitted it’s tough to pick just one. “I don’t think I have a single favorite photo. There are a lot of pictures that I like, but my favorites are definitely the ones where I’m not the only one smiling. In other words, my favorite pictures are the ones where the dog is smiling too.“Hardesty’s interactions with dogs have produced plenty of lighthearted moments, sometimes even backfiring in a comedic way. He recalled, “The one story that comes to mind is that one time where I was trying to hold a small puppy… and, well, one thing led to another, and the little fella got a little bit scared, and unfortunately for me, he peed on me.“See Also on Bored PandaModal closeAdd New ImageModal closeAdd Your Photo To This ListPlease use high-res photos without watermarksOoops!
