We reached out to the cartoonist and asked them to tell us more about ‘Caribbean Webcomics.’ Here’s what we learned about how the series began: “I’ve always been a fan of newspaper comics and comic books, and always wanted to create a version of my own.” Then, the artist continued, sharing more about the recurring themes in their comics: “For my webcomic ‘Puttong,’ for example, I try to depict life here in the Caribbean, more specifically Trinidad and Tobago, where I’m from. For my other webcomic ‘Teef Hed,’ I try to make relatable stuff funny.”

When asked about how they come up with ideas for new comics, the author of the series responded: “I get my ideas based upon childhood experiences. Sometimes even from zany ideas that come to mind, I even try to be a little bit inspirational at times.”
Next, we were curious about the artist’s personal favorite cartoon they’ve created so far. Here’s what we found out: “Hmmm, that’s a hard one. If I had to say, it would probably be the Beautiful Monster storyline I did in Teef Hed. It captures the challenges we all face in this time of social media especially.”
