There is great news for fans of heartwarming animal friendships: Molly the magpie, the feathered online star known for his friendship with a Staffordshire bull terrier named Peggy, is winging his way back home!
Steven shared an update on Molly’s condition and said he’s in “great spirits and is receiving good care.” He also noted that there’s been an update in Molly’s case and that the feathered buddy will soon be reunited with his family.

“I just wanted to share an update about Molly the magpie. I’ve spoken to Reece and Juliette and reassured them Molly is in great spirits and is receiving good care. This morning the Department has advised me that the couple can secure the appropriate license,” the premier wrote in an update onInstagram.
“The team will work with them now to do that. It’s good news and meansMolly can comehome very soon. I’d like to thank everyone who has written to me to share their concerns and advocate for Molly’s return,” he added.
The bird was separated from the family after wildlife officials seized Molly over permit issues
Steven later shared another update with some “good news” about the Department of Environment, Science, and Innovation (DESI) finding “a way to get Molly back home to his carers.”
Social media users commented on Steven’s video and pushed for Molly to be returned back to Juliette and Reece as soon as possible.
