Milo is a rare breed, the smallest of the retrievers. He is incredibly smart and learns new tricks very quickly. His owner, Jennifer Bennett, shared that she welcomed Milo into her life after losing her previous dog, Boden, who was a Toller like Milo. Boden and Jennifer shared a deep bond, and as he neared the end of his life, she couldn’t imagine being without a dog. “I reached out to a few breeders I knew, and they told me about a Toller who was Boden’s nephew. That dog turned out to be Milo, and it felt perfect to have a dog related to my best friend.”
When Boden passed away, Jennifer was heartbroken. “My boyfriend suggested that I create an Instagram page for Milo, so I wouldn’t overwhelm my friends with pictures of my new puppy. It seemed like a great idea to have a dedicated space for sharing photos and experiences with Milo.” The Instagram page became their little safe place where they could bond, learn new things, and explore the world together.
Milo has a unique and adorable habit when it comes to food. Every time he gets his meal, he eats a little bit, then comes over to kiss Jennifer as if to say thank you before returning to his food. According to the owner, he’s been doing this since he was a puppy. “Milo is not only super sweet and loving but also loves to cuddle and be close to me.”
“Milo is very self-confident and loves nature, hiking, and cooking. We also raise monarchs, so they are always in the garden, and Milo’s very used to having them around.”
