I’ve always loved art and wanted to get better at it. In my free time, I enjoy sketching and scribbling with pen and paper, mostly in black and white.
But I also wanted to try painting. I’ve done some in the past, but I wasn’t consistent. So, I decided to challenge myself with a painting challenge to paint for five days straight.
There were a lot of interesting but complicated paintings that I couldn’t replicate with my current skill level. Then, I found a photo of a deer silhouette. It was perfect for my first painting in the challenge.
The next day, I continued with the silhouette theme, finding inspiration on Pinterest to paint bird silhouettes on day two and day three.
For day four, I tried painting from my imagination. I imagined a sunset scene with silhouetted trees and two people watching the sunset.
On the fifth day, I wanted to try something a bit more complex. I tried to recreate a painting I saw online. Surprisingly, I was happy with how it turned out.
This five-day challenge was a lot of fun and helped me gain some confidence in painting. Next time, I’ll try an even longer challenge.
