Hi Pandas! I need honest feedback. I (59F) went with my husband of almost 40 years to a phone store to grab a charger. It was a satellite store, not a company store. That apparently makes a difference.
A week or so later, my husband calls me at work and asks me about a $42 purchase on our credit card

I told him how to check charges he’s not familiar with. That’s when he told me, “I did. I’m confused.” When I asked why, he told me the date, amount and location.
It was a sleazebag nasty motel that no one in the know ever goes to!

I was confused as I recognized the purchase date and amount as the phone charger.I called the phone store and the ‘manager’ said the person who sold me the charger was staying at the motel and his swipe square ‘must have registered that location’!
In that area there are over 100 businesses, fast food, small stores, restaurants and the motel is about a half mile away!

To say I was mad is an understatement!Not so much for myself. My husband laughed and said if I were to go to a hotel during the day, it would be a $300 a night not $42 a night c**p place! He’s right! Haha, after 40 years, he knows me!
But seriously, what if a woman or man had come home from work and encountered a jealous spouse? A violent, angry spouse or partner?
Sadly, it takes a hell of a lot less for people to be abused in DV incidents and I called the management company of the phone store. They said it’s independently owned, not really ours! But I see the bright red V signs everywhere!!! I called the local news, no one… NO ONE gave a damn! Apparently, I am being overly dramatic?
My husband and I feel that it is only a matter of time before someone gets hurt, but according to everyone I called, I am making a big deal out of nothing.Note: the credit card bill only had the date, the amount and the address of the sleazebag motel. There is no other business at the address of the motel. It stands alone in its own parking lot.
This situation happened over a year ago, but it still haunts me. I thought I would share. Thanks, Pandas for your feedback.
