Today, I’d like to showcase some of my recent paintings from the past month.
Lately, I’ve been delving into philosophical works, which has left me feeling a bit confused. Being in our hometown and experiencing the same events as everyone else in society, I’ve noticed that stress has affected my ability to logically organize my thoughts. Even my memory isn’t as sharp as it used to be. Despite this, I’ve been making an effort to read and listen to books, and I’ve been spending a lot of time with paints and canvases. This month, I’ve even experimented with painting on cardboard.
Reflecting on Dante’s words, “Having passed through earthly life to the middle, I found myself in a gloomy forest,” I’ve found some inspiration in philosophy, but it’s been fleeting. I’ve struggled to retain what I’ve learned, which has been frustrating. Perhaps my insomnia and the nightly explosions in the distance have been taking a toll on my mind and psyche once again.
I’ve experienced a similar state during intense combat situations, and I remember how I eventually returned to a more stable mental state.
Next, I plan to delve into the theory of Stoicism, eager to explore how it might influence my creative reflections and expressions on canvas.
It’s important to note that, despite my struggles, I haven’t lost touch with reality or allowed myself to spiral into madness. I’m maintaining enough control over the situation to keep a level head.
