Caitlyn managed to say plenty without actually saying much.

“Good Riddance #OJSimpson,” read her tweet.

Caitlyn’s reaction appeared to be rooted in her complex history with O.J., a once close friend during her marriage with ex-wife Kris Jenner. Before marrying Caitlyn, Kris was previously married to Robert Kardashian, the prominent attorney who was O.J.’s defense lawyer in a highly publicized murder trial.

Kris, who was friends with O.J. and Nicole, fought for justice for the murdered wife while the world watched Robert, the father of her children, defending O.J. in court.

“I remember the day the verdict came through and [the kids] came in and they said, ‘I told you he didn’t do it,'” Caitlyn shared during a 2009 episode ofDr. Phil. “…We sat down and I said, ‘Look, just because he got a not guilty verdict doesn’t mean he didn’t do it, and I just don’t want to hear his name anymore.’ And I had a lot of conversations with Robert to try to make sure it didn’t tear the family apart.”
