Bored Pandareached out to Giulia to learn more about her artistic journey. First of all, she shared a bit about herself.“I’ve been doodling since forever, started scribbling with paper and pencil around the ripe age of two! Back then, it was all about drawing people; landscapes were just not my thing. And you know what? Not much has changed. I’ve always had this ‘spicy’ vibe. In elementary school, I used to sell ‘erotic’ drawings (or what I thought was sexy) in exchange for math homework with my classmates! Yeah, not a lot has changed since those wild days, haha! I got my degree in graphic design and then decided to dive into the cinema world with a master’s. Dreamed of being a director (like every cinema student ever), but life nudged me back to the drawing board. Lucky for me!”

Giulia has been sharing her works for a while now, and over this time, she has accumulated quite a big audience on Instagram, which currently has over 661K followers. Though every fan probably has their favorite pieces or series, we were also wondering what illustrations are the closest to Giulia’s own heart.“Lately, I’ve been having a blast messing around with characters from playing cards. Turning them into these sassy, spicy beings is my jam. That series is hands down one of my faves,” shared Giulia.

Giulia’s art style is both soft and vivid at the same time. We wanted to know what artists have influenced Giulia during her artistic journey.“Klimt and Magritte! Totally shaped my art journey in a mind-blowing way,” wrote Giulia. In regards to what Giulia wants people to take away from her art, she responded: “I’d love for people to be able to relate, to go ‘hey, that’s totally me!’ It makes me feel less alone. There’s an Italian saying: ‘mal comune mezzo gaudio,’ which roughly translates to ‘a trouble shared is a trouble halved.’ It’s all about finding common ground and sharing the load, you know?”

And lastly, Giulia added: “Drawing is a vibe, even if you’re thinking you’re not the Michelangelo type. It’s like tossing out all your drama onto the paper. Sometimes, all you need is a doodle and a pencil to shake off the heavy stuff and feel a bit lighter inside.”
